Nurse Practitioner- Clinic- Locum or Perm- WA
American Consultants is looking for a nurse practitioner for either a locum or perm position for a clinic in Washington State. Must have a current WA license.
Position Overview:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed healthcare professional who works autonomously or in collaboration with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care to patients in a clinical setting. The NP plays a critical role in diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic medical conditions, promoting wellness, and improving patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions such as infections, injuries, hypertension, and diabetes.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.
- Provide preventive care, health education, and counseling to promote overall well-being.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare services as needed.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with clinic policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations.
Quality Improvement:
- Participate in clinic initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on medical advancements and evidence-based practices to ensure high-quality care delivery.
Patient Advocacy:
- Advocate for patients by addressing their concerns, explaining treatment options, and supporting informed decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
- Certification: Board certification in a specialty area (e.g., Family, Adult-Gerontology, Pediatrics).
- Experience: Clinical experience preferred but not always required; new graduates may be considered depending on the clinic's needs.

- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
