    Job Description

    This position is contingent on contract award.

    The Logistics Analyst III, Materiel Fielding Transportation Coordinator will serve as a transportation coordinator for PEOS, PM SMD, Force Integration Division (FID). FID executes the procurement and assembly of medical equipment sets (MES) and field’s medical assemblages and associated equipment globally to the operational forces, reviews and development of transportation concepts, policies, and plans that support the PEOS, PM SMD ’s medical equipping mission worldwide.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Execute the procurement and assemble of medical equipment sets.
    • Field medical assemblages and associated equipment globally to the operational forces.
    • Receive and develop transportation concepts and policies.
    • Support medical equipment mission worldwide.
    • Have knowledge of and gain access to use authorized Army Automation Systems, which include, but are not limited to, Theatre Enterprise-Wide Logistics System (TEWLS), LOGICOL System, Global Combat Support System (GCSS) and other systems that are specifically authorized by the PEOS, PM SMD.
    • Be knowledgeable of Army activities and transportation systems as well as approved Department of Defense (DoD) shipping and receiving documents to assist agency leadership in monitoring and asset visibility.
    • Monitor and track the transportation and receipt of global medical equipping needs in operational mission requirements and contingencies.
    • Provide a daily transportation report for all medical equipment sets and all goods issued equipment utilizing authorized Army Automation Systems.
    • Assist with providing transportation guidance to Headquarters, PEOS, PM SMD, FID’s Regional Managers and Direct Reporting Units (DRUs) located in both the Continental United States and overseas locations.
    • Assist with the development of FID’s transportation policies, provides expertise to support technical decisions, and reviews procedures to determines if program requirements and objectives are being met in the most efficient and economical manner.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders in resolving transportation related conflicts/discrepancies. The contractor shall validate shipments to ensure proper placard markings.
    • Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing the FID’s Second Destination Transportation (SDT) program.
    • Analyze track and monitor procedures, as well as trends with delays, frustrated cargo and lost items to ensure performance and customer service.
    • Travel nationally and internationally as the program requires.

    Qualifications

    Basic Requirements/Certifications:

    • Complete the LOG 0140 Packaging of Hazardous Material certification.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office, to include MS Outlook, MS Project and MS Access.
    • Experience with Theatre Enterprise-Wide Logistics System (TEWLS), LOGICOL System, Army Enterprise System Integrations Program (AESIP), Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A), Lead Material Integrator Decision Support Tool (LMI-DST) and Medical Materiel Mobilization Planning Tool (M3PT) is desired.
    • Prior experience as a field or Company Grade Medical Service Corps Officer with medical logistics experience, Senior Medical NCO E-7 and above with property book management experience.
    • Ability to multi-task effectively, prioritizes and execute against multiple priorities.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge of databases and spreadsheets.
    • Extensive fundamental knowledge of logistics and supply principles and supply chain management.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Excellent data entry skills.

    Education Required:

    • Highschool diploma or equivalent.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment, and outdoors with exposure to environmental heat, humidity, sunshine, rain, and wind.
    • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
    • May require bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to safely negotiate flights of stairs.

    Other Special Qualifications:

    • Ability to obtain required government security secret clearance.
    • US citizen.
    • Valid US Passport with at least 18 months before expiration date.

    Additional Information

    Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.

    Compensation: Min: $70,000 Max: $160,000
