The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations: Oversee logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and transportation.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of vendor and customer transactions in the production log.
Shipping and Delivery: Ensure timely and accurate shipment of products to customers.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain adequate stock.
Railcar Audits: Conduct audits of incoming and outgoing railcars for compliance and accuracy.
Documentation and traceability: Process and manage all related documentation for incoming loads (bills of lading, scale tickets, etc.).
Filing: Maintain organized filing systems for delivery documents.
Railcar Paperwork Backup: Assist with preparing and processing railcar paperwork and billing records.
Reconciliation: Reconcile goods received, investigate discrepancies, and support resolution.
Load Coordination: Coordinate driver loads from suppliers and customers, as well as waste disposal.
Fleet: Work with DMV and Motor Carrier Services to handle IFTA and IRP accounts, including power of attorney (POA) responsibilities. Handle registration, documentation, and compliance for fleet vehicles (IFTA, IRP, MCS-150, UCR). File quarterly IFTA taxes, process renewals for necessary permits, and maintain compliance documentation.
Performance Tracking: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
Strategy Development: Contribute to developing and implementing logistics strategies for efficiency and cost reduction.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED, bachelor's preferred.
3+ years of experience in logistics operations.
Strong understanding of logistics processes and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software.
