Act as the main point of contact between clients, suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers, providing regular updates on shipment progress. Ensure clear communication to manage expectations, handle queries, and resolve discrepancies or issues that arise during transit
Work closely with sales teams to understand customer needs and ensure that all logistics services align with customer expectations, special requests, or account-specific standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Negotiate and manage contracts with freight forwarders, transportation companies, and carriers to secure the best rates and service levels for shipment solutions. Coordinate transportation routes, methods, and schedules for cost-efficiency and service reliability
Ensure that selected carriers meet all regulatory and service quality standards, tracking the performance and resolving any issues related to carrier performance.
Identify and address any issues that arise during the shipping process, such as customs delays, damaged goods, or incorrect documentation. Work with all relevant stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve these problems, ensuring minimal disruption to the supply chain
