Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Logistics Planner to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis. This role focuses on the end-to-end planning and coordination of logistics operations, transportation management, and strategic supply chain solutions. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in logistics planning, transportation coordination, and shipping. A PMP certification and a background in military logistics are highly preferred as these will enhance our operational strategies. This position is key in driving logistics efficiency and ensuring that goods and services are delivered timely and cost-effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Coordination: Develop and execute logistics strategies for efficient and timely movement of goods, ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
Strategic Planning and Implementation: Create and implement logistics plans to optimize material storage, distribution, and transportation.
Transportation Management: Design, optimize, and oversee transportation routes, schedules, and shipping processes to meet company and customer demands.
Military Logistics Expertise: Leverage military logistics experience to enhance the strategic planning and deployment of transportation resources, boosting operational efficiencies.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze logistics data to monitor and improve shipping performance, resolve logistical issues, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Identify and monitor appropriate inventory levels, coordinate with suppliers, and optimize stock levels for logistics projects.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams and external vendors to enhance service quality and streamline logistics processes.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with logistics policies and industry standards; proactively identify and mitigate potential risks in logistics operations.
Deadline Management: Effectively manage multiple priorities, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
Communication Skills: Communicate effectively across all levels, fostering collaboration and operational alignment.
Qualifications:
Citizenship: US citizenship is required.
Experience: 3-6 years of experience in logistics planning, transportation coordination, and shipping management.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of transportation planning, shipping and receiving processes, and military logistics.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data sets and make data-driven recommendations to enhance logistics efficiency.
Technology Proficiency: Proficient in logistics software, supply chain management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Attributes:
Certification: PMP certification is highly preferred.
Military Background: Experience in military logistics planning is a plus.
Detail-oriented: High attention to detail, ensuring logistics planning and operations accuracy.
Problem Solver: Strong critical thinking skills to troubleshoot and optimize logistics processes.
Effective Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at coordinating across departments and teams.
Working Conditions:
Hybrid Role: This position combines remote and on-site work, requiring flexibility to meet operational demands.
Occasional Travel: May require occasional international travel based on business needs.
