Job Description
The Interco Logistics Scheduler operates in a fast-paced, detail-focused environment, serving as a key point of contact between shipping partners, freight carriers, and internal teams. This position manages a high volume of inbound and outbound communication—both phone and email—to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules, confirm appointments, and ensure all shipping documents are received and accurate.
Working exclusively in a business-to-business setting, the Logistics Scheduler builds and maintains consistent relationships with a set group of shippers and carriers. Responsibilities include obtaining packing lists, securing ETA updates, and tracking shipments in real time using GPS tools. Accuracy and follow-through are critical, especially when updating carrier files, maintaining current insurance documentation, and confirming correct contact details.
Additional duties involve routine administrative tasks, such as shipping material samples via small parcel services and assisting with day-to-day logistics documentation. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to stay focused amid constant activity and shifting priorities.
