  • Responsibilities

    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Track orders, answer questions about shipments, answer billing questions.
    • Track and maintain specifics related to what is coming in or going out of the company.
    • Keep electronic (Excel) and/or paper files accurate and up-to-date
    • Track stock and inventory counts.
    • Responsible for scheduling pick-ups and generating and confirming rate forms.
    • Responsible for selection and evaluation of carriers; Follow up once quote is received and have competitive rates carrier is setup in the system.
    • Work with internal management to develop systems to track shipping, distribution, inventory control, and reporting for internal audits.
    • Responsible for reviewing and requesting Mid-West bookings to corresponding shipping line.
    • Preparation of freight summaries for all export shipments that require it.
    • Responsible for tracking and updating the ETA per container in SharePoint.
    • Available to serve as a backup for brokerage inventory entry and overall coordination process.
    • Responsible for promptly notify supply chain and customer as necessary of any delays, troubleshoot
    • Available to serve as a backup for raw material inventory entry, raw material inventory control/yard, empty trailer notification and RMI Report.
    • Be cross-trained to assist the Logistics Specialist II when needed.
    • All related duties as assigned.

    · Maintain up-to-date Excel file with quotes from existing carriers and their COIs.

    · Responsible for RSC – Monthly Reconciliation Report and Weekly ETA Report

    · Responsible of verifying all scans folders and filling folders.

    · Coordinate multiple orders and group the orders together for pick-up to ensure efficiency.

    · Handle discrepancies that arise with the carrier and review agreed-upon terms.

    · Serve as liaison with internal teams, clients, and freight forwarders.

    · Coordinate pick-ups

    · Responsible for conducting all export documentation cycle and notify about any irregularities Logistics Manager/ Sales Dept.

    QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

    · 2-3 years of direct experience as a Logistics Specialist

    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and able to problem solve.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
