SHINE Systems, LLC, is currently seeking Logistics Specialists located in Charlottesville, Virginia . Logistics Specialists provide logistics and operations support to ensure that personnel have appropriate equipment and technologies to support mission objectives, including Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and high yield Explosives (CBRNE) collection and detection activities in highly hazardous or contaminated environments.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide administrative support in the development of requirements and documentation for the government’s acquisition of equipment.
- Conduct market research with other DoD organizations and civilian companies that specialize in detection or collection activities and constitute potential sources of related equipment and technologies.
- Assist the government in maintaining accurate inventories of all accountable equipment.
- Maintain accounts in Financial Accounting and Corporate Tracking System (FACTS) and maintain the duties of an Alternate Activity Support Coordinator (AASC) for assigned property.
- Schedule and execute all required periodic maintenance for equipment
- Assist the government with its purchase and receipt of mission–related equipment, software, and consumable items.
- Generate shipping loadouts on commercial or military systems.
- Facilitate transportation of equipment/supplies, both hazardous and non-hazardous.
- Conduct off-site travel as required.
- Provide support for material management, implementation and operation of supply program, property accountability, stock record control, requirements requisition processing.
- Assist in preparation of necessary guidance, clarification, and reports.
- Assist with preparation of Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (DD Form 200) and associated documents for relief from responsibility for lost, damaged and destroyed supply items.
- Assist with completion and reviews of Material Inspection & Receiving (DD250) and Requisition & Invoice Shipping Documents (DD1149) to ensure all information is complete and correct.
- Assist the government to receive, inspect, inventory, load, unload, segregate, store, issue, deliver, turn in, and properly dispose of organizational supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate with leadership to provide material life cycle maintenance including, inventory maintenance, and recommend upgrades to property.
- Assist in the maintenance of warehouse storage space, performing functions involving warehouse organization, requisition, receipt, shipping, storage, issue, accountability and preservation of individual and organizational supplies and equipment.
Preferred qualifications
- Military background in logistics
- Experience with at least some of the items mentioned in the "Job Duties" in the job description
- 5 years or more logistics experience highly preferred
- An active clearance or clearance the past 8 years
- Active TS//SCI highly preferred.
- Familiar with OSHA regulations.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience in the field of government logistics, preferably with DoD and knowledge of logistic policies and procedures of DoD and/or the IC.
- Experience with government property management and maintenance of warehouse storage space.
- Able to lift packages weighing up to 50+ lbs.
