We are seeking innovative, patient focused professionals to join our team!Our Infusion clinic in Burnaby Lougheed Town Centre and South Surrey Peninsula Village currently has opportunities for: Corporate Registered Nurse

    This is a casual contract position responsible for assessing, treating and monitoring patients receiving IV infusions. This is a 1 year Full-time contract position (with the possibility of extension). Employees will be scheduled between 8 - 40 hours per week (depending on volume) and must be available to work a flexible schedule Monday through Saturday, 8:00am-5:00pm.Responsibilities include:

    Preparing IV infusion mixtures with multiple ingredient dose

    Inserting IV catheters gently and with confidence

    Performing brief clinical assessments of patients' symptoms and progress

    Monitoring patients during infusions to identify and manage adverse events

    Reporting adverse events in accordance with Health Canada and company policy

    EMR documentation of procedures and relevant clinical data

    Ensuring that the IV infusion area is clean, organized and well-supplied

    Participating in clinical team meetings and administrative meetings

    Assist/administer vaccines (influenza, covid-19, etc.) as required

    Administer rapid COVID-19 tests

    Administer PCR testing

    The successful candidate should possess the following:

    Clinical background in gastroenterology, rheumatology, immunology or related areas an asset

    Registered with the BCCNP

    Certification or experience in IV insertion or treatment is an asset

    Ability and experience in the administration of vaccines and other drugs via injection

    Excellent oral and written communication skills with patients and staff

    Ability to learn and perform clinical procedures with confidence

    Meticulous attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

    Experience working with EMR systems, MS word and proficient typing skills

    Demonstrated interest in a healthy lifestyle, integrative medicine or self-care

    Tendency to thrive in a dynamic, changing work environment
