Lead Manager A, Product Analyst

THE TEAM
Make-A-Wish America is the national headquarters for our organization, providing resources and support for our Chapters around the country. The Information Technology team is comprised of a diverse team of technologists responsible for building and operating the technologies that enable Make-A-Wish to grant the wish of every eligible child.
THE ROLE
The Product Analyst strengthens product development and delivery by connecting dots across teams, uncovering needs, and shaping actionable product work. Working closely with Product Managers, developers, and stakeholders, the Product Analyst ensures that features and enhancements are clearly defined, feasible, and grounded in user and business value. As a cross-functional contributor, the Product Analyst supports initiatives across multiple product areas—helping Product Managers create alignment, facilitate discovery, and maintain high-quality delivery. This role acts as a bridge across people, processes, and information—enabling clarity, cohesion, and momentum across the product portfolio.
WHERE YOU COME IN
As the Product Analyst at Make-A-Wish America you will have the following responsibilities:
· Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to understand goals, define requirements, and support product delivery.
· Foster alignment between discovery and delivery efforts, ensuring that initiatives move forward with clear definition and user-centered focus.
· Translate requirements into clear, testable documentation such as user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria that enable developer clarity and support backlog readiness.
· Partner with developers and QA to ensure a shared understanding of business needs, desired outcomes, and acceptance criteria—supporting delivery teams with context and clarity throughout the implementation.
· Support UAT planning, coordinate with users, and guide execution and defect triage as needed.
· Contribute to maintaining internal documentation related to system behavior, user flows, business rules, and technical definitions
· Track and report delivery metrics or user insights to inform product decision-making in partnership with Product Managers
· Support product operations by maintaining consistency across documentation and knowledge-sharing processes.
· Participate in end-user group discussions and help facilitate feedback loops.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Knowledge and Abilities:
· Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience supporting Agile product teams.
· Ability to translate complex business needs into detailed, clear, and actionable user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
· Excellent skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and refinement, with high attention to detail.
· Proven ability to partner closely with product managers, developers and QA to clarify functionality and support implementation.
· Ability to foster alignment between business goals, customer needs, and development capabilities.
· Experience contributing to Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
· Comfortable navigating ambiguity and helping refine early-stage ideas into defined solutions.
· Adept at working behind the scenes enabling others to move with clarity and confidence.
· Demonstrated ability to organize work, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
· Experience with collaboration and backlog tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Miro).
· Knowledge of nonprofit operations, donor systems, or CRMs (e.g., Salesforce or NetSuite) is a plus.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
· 2+ years in business analysis, product support, or Agile team roles (e.g., Scrum Master, QA, or junior Product Owner).
· Strong analytical and communication skills with a high attention to detail.
· Experience supporting Agile cross-functional teams.
· Familiarity with Agile and product documentation tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Miro).
· Experience supporting donor systems, finance platforms, or CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite) is a plus.
· Nonprofit or federated organization experience is a plus.
Working Conditions:
· Ability to thrive in a remote environment
· Some travel required.
· Requires work outside a traditional Monday – Friday work week, and normal business hours.
