POSITION: Field Reporting Specialist Job Description
REPORTS TO: Field Operations Manager
Field Reporting Specialist – 1099 Posoition – Ground Only
Summary /Objective
This position is responsible for the timely, professional and safe completion of assigned underwriting surveys. The Field Reporting Specialist will interact with Reviewers, insurance agency personnel and policy holders while maintaining a polite, professional manner and appearance at all times. The Field Reporting Specialist will use their own personal vehicle for daily travel in an assigned territory including some overnight travel. The ability to work independently and ability to efficiently navigate a geographical area are required for the position.
Essential Functions
Accurate measurement of exterior perimeter of subject structures
Accurate observation of interior construction finishes and materials
Accurate observation of condition and maintenance of subject structure
Accurate observation of liability exposures and hazards
Accurate and objective observation of roof covering
Accurate and objective policyholder interview
Accurate and complete submission of diagrams, photos, orders and reports
Candidate is expected to exceed minimum productivity requirements

Work Environment
Must be comfortable with working outside in the elements which can include rain, snow, ice, extreme hot and cold temperatures for long periods of time several days in the week. Must be comfortable with potentially long commutes and driving in both rural and urban settings.
Physical Demands
Must be physically fit and able to walk, stand and sit for long periods of time.
Must have good sense of balance and capable of walking and working on uneven ground.
Must be able to raise and hold arms above head using telescoping camera pole throughout the day.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a Subcontract 1099 position working Monday through Friday and some weekend if desired
Travel
Day trips to the coastal areas of AL and MS
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required
Experience working in the insurance and/or field survey industry is desirable but not required. We do not hire adjusters, mobile or temporary inspectors.
Proficient in oral and written communication skills using mobile devices.

Fully functional iPad and Wi-Fi Camera (provided)

Proficiency in usage of the internet navigation and email
Proficiency in usage of Mobile Apps
Option 2- 1099 Independent Inspector
· 45/55 split of the inspection fee
· Training is provided with some compensation while training.
· Complete each inspection from the jobsite, no sitting in front of a computer at night uploading data and photos.
· Requires Independent Contractor to be a LLC, Type S or C entity
· Provide your own Liability, WC and Auto Insurance
· Provide your own equipment, ladders, camera, mobile devices, etc. ( we can help provide equipment and you pay us back through deduction)
General Physical Job Demands
Grooming Requirements Hair must be a natural color and kept neatly always groomed. Men’s hair must not be longer than the bottom of collar. Mohawks and spiked hair are prohibited. Men may not have ponytails.
Facial hair may not be more than 1/2 inch long at the bottom and the area under the chin must be shaved. Sideburns must not extend beyond the ear lobe or into the face. All skin surrounding any facial hair must always be clean-shaven.
