    Are you experienced in the construction industry and looking to thrive in a respected and dynamic organization? Do you want to be part of a collaborative team? Louis Ptak Construction is seeking a Dispatcher for our Subcontractor Division. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling and dispatching craft carpentry crews, coordinating material deliveries, and managing various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations across our projects.

    What you get to own:

    • Reporting: Running and managing reports in Excel
    • Material Coordination: Coordinate the delivery of construction materials and rental equipment, preferably through vendors that self-deliver.
    • Safety Sessions: Coordinate bi-weekly safety tailgate sessions, including collecting and storing attendance sign-offs.
    • Inventory Management: Conduct quarterly inventory of company tools.
    • Crew Scheduling: Use Procore Workforce Planning to schedule and dispatch craft carpentry crews (this takes about 15 hours a week).
    • Daily Interaction: Interact daily with Field Management to accommodate schedule changes due to illness, weather, injury, or project shifts.
    • Administrative Tasks: Create and process purchase orders for the subcontracting division and perform other administrative duties.

    What we're looking for: ****

    • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) required.
    • Intermediate to expert level of proficiency in Excel is required.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
    • Familiarity with accounting in the construction industry is highly preferred.
    • Highly organized and exceptionally detail-oriented, with constant follow-up until tasks are completed.
    • Ability to understand the interconnectedness of actions and their impacts, ensuring that actions B and C are updated accordingly when action A is taken.
    • Able to context switch quickly and prioritize information.
    • Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred.
