    Job Summary

    A Low Voltage Electric Data Technician is responsible for supporting the organization’s computing and telecommunication network operations and procedures. The technician works either solely or with a team to support telephone systems and POS systems, which include installation of cable and maintenance of the systems and troubleshooting issues of like equipment. The technician will deliver the desired customer service experience required by partnered businesses. The goal is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention and increases profitability.

    Essential Functions

    Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches

    Tie workflow to schedule

    Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks

    Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions

    Produce timely and detailed service reports to partnered vendors

    Document processes

    Operate vehicle in a safely manner and use field automation systems

    Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols

    Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization

    Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings

    Build positive relationships with customers and coworkers

    Proven field service experience

    Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment

    English literacy

    Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules

    Familiarity with mobile tools and applications

    Technical degree or certification is preferable

    Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation

    Scissor lift certification required

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds including over their head. Ability to climb ladders up to 25 feet and ability to drive and stand on scissor-lift to 40 feet. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    Work Environment

    This job operates in a professional warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners and video.

    Travel

    This position may require travel. Travel accommodation will be met when travel is required which include overnight accommodations, meal allowance, and gas or mileage.
