  • Responsibilities

    Subtek Solutions is currently on the hunt for qualified Low Voltage Techs with experience performing installations in a commercial environment.

    Any qualified applicants are welcomed to apply as our current base of clients have immediate projects that need talented individuals ASAP.

    Low Voltage Technician Duties:

    · Cable install: Pulling, terminating, testing and labeling of Cat 5/6 structured cable.

    · Familiar with the install of all types of fiber optic, horizontal and backbone cables.

    · Capable of Installing pathway systems (cable trays, racks, J-hooks or D-rings).

    · Experience with the dressing and routing of cables for commercial MAC work install.

    · IDF/MDF Closet and equipment room buildouts, Rack & Stack

    · Experience in the install and termination of low-voltage end devices.

    · Ability to read, understand and follow blueprints.

    · OSHA 10 Certification - a plus

    Low Voltage Technician Qualifications:

    · Minimum 2 years field experience

    · Basic familiarity with cabling in new or existing commercial projects.

    · Reliable transportation to and from work around the SD area.

    · Essential tools for the low voltage industry: Punch down tool, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, 6’ ladder, etc..

    · ALL PPE Gear: Hard Hat, Gloves, Safety Vest, Safety Glasses and work BOOTS
