    Low Voltage / Security Systems Estimator

    Qualifications:

    The person needs to be very detailed and organized, and ideally have experience with a low-voltage contractor in commercial construction or an Architectural or Engineering firm

    Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, floor plans, wiring diagrams, and specifications

    Ability to interpret CAD drawings

    High degree of self-discipline with the ability to prioritize and meet multiple project deadlines in a fast-paced corporate environment

    Must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills

    Must be self-motivated, success-driven, have strong organizational skills, a multi-tasker, reliable, self-determined, and have excellent follow-up skills

    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Bluebeam/Adobe Acrobat

    Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

    Applicants must meet requirements concerning background and driving record

    Regular, reliable, predictable attendance

    Key Responsibilities:

    Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to prepare detailed and accurate estimates for low-voltage systems.

    Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes, ensuring competitive pricing and quality.

    Prepare bid proposals, budgets, and cost breakdowns.

    Maintain and update cost databases and estimation tools.

    Assist in preparing comprehensive submittal packages for approval by clients, architects, and engineers.

    Ensure all submittal documents meet project specifications, including product data sheets, shop drawings, and compliance certificates.

    Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to obtain the necessary documentation.

    Track and manage submittal approvals, revisions, and re-submissions as required.

    Maintain organized records of all submittal documentation for each project.

    Work closely with the field teams to ensure estimates align with project execution plans.

    Communicate with clients to address questions or concerns regarding estimates and submittals. Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project kick-offs as needed.

    Provide technical support and expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
