Overview: We are seeking skilled Low Voltage Technicians to join our team. As a Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a meticulous attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and reliability of low voltage systems.
Responsibilities:
Installation:
Install low voltage systems including but not limited to security systems, access control systems, CCTV systems, fire alarm systems, and audiovisual systems.
Mount and configure equipment such as cameras, sensors, control panels, and wiring according to specifications and building codes.
Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to ensure seamless integration of low voltage systems with overall building infrastructure.
Maintenance and Repair:
Conduct routine inspections of low voltage systems to identify and address any issues or potential failures.
Perform scheduled maintenance tasks such as testing circuits, replacing components, and updating firmware/software as needed.
Respond promptly to service calls and troubleshoot system malfunctions to restore functionality.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all installations, maintenance activities, and repairs performed.
Generate detailed reports outlining work completed, parts used, and any recommendations for future improvements.
Provide clear and concise documentation to clients and stakeholders regarding system functionality and maintenance procedures.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all work meets industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
Conduct quality checks on installations to verify proper functionality and adherence to specifications.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest enhancements to increase efficiency and reliability.
Customer Service:
Interact professionally with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to address inquiries, provide technical support, and offer guidance on system operation.
Educate end-users on the proper use and maintenance of low voltage systems to optimize performance and longevity.
Demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality workmanship and personalized service.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in electrical or low voltage systems preferred.
Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or similar role, with a strong understanding of low voltage systems and components.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations governing low voltage installations.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering accurate and reliable solutions.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record; willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs).
