  • Responsibilities

    Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Cable Installer to join our team. In this role, you will install and maintain cables for telephone camera systems, and other electronic equipment. Your responsibilities will include communicating with customers to understand their needs, assessing the project requirements, removing the old equipment, and installing new cables. The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, and has an excellent understanding of low-voltage cabling installation.

    Responsibilites

    Low voltage cabling for new construction and existing properties.

    Install low voltage cabling, install data racks, punch down and certify CAT6 cabling, run conduit.

    Understanding & interpreting project drawings

    Mounting location boxes

    Pulling low voltage cable

    Terminate Cat6 Jacks and RG6 Compression Connectors

    Dress cabling and terminating patch panels

    Pulling fiber optic cabling

    Installing cable support systems

    Creating cable pathways

    Other service technician's tasks and duties

    Some traveling on occassion required

    Compensation starts at $25 per hour depending on experience

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED

    Previous experience as a Cable Installer, low-voltage technician, or related experience is preferred

    Knowledge of telecommunications and electrical equipment and systems

    Ability to work with limited supervision

    Excellent interpersonal skills

    Physical ability to bend repeatedly, lift heavy objects, and work in small spaces
