    Position Title: Lumber Estimator – Building Materials

    Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Lumber Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate material estimates for residential construction projects, focusing on framing lumber and other building materials. You’ll play a key role in managing project costs and collaborating with our procurement and design teams to ensure successful project execution.

    Responsibilities:

    Prepare detailed material take-offs, including framing lumber, sheathing, siding, and hardware for residential projects.

    Analyze architectural plans and specifications to identify necessary materials and quantities.

    Collaborate with procurement to evaluate costs, select materials, and develop project budgets.

    Maintain organized records of bids and job costs for reference.

    Work closely with field teams, designers, and clients to ensure accuracy and quality of estimates.

    Oversee material release schedules to ensure timely job site deliveries.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Minimum of four years of experience in lumber and building materials estimating, preferably for residential projects.

    Strong knowledge of wood construction methods and local building codes.

    Excellent organizational, mathematical, and communication skills.

    Experience with estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, ProEst) is a plus.

    Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.

    Physical Requirements:

    Extended periods of computer work.

    Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
