A Sales Associate at CJ Charles Jewelers will be asked to achieve sales goals, while balancing daily business and High Jewelry sales. Sales Associates are responsible for developing a network and a loyal clientele. Sales Associates will attend social functions within the community to generate new business; invite current and prospective clients to in-boutique events and reach out through social media and other supports. Sales Associates are responsible for CRM initiatives – they are responsible for client data capture and accuracy, communication on novelties and events, gifting campaigns and clienteling reporting.
A Sales Associate is asked to assist in display set up each morning and display breakdown in the evening and help ensure products are stored safely nightly. They are to provide excellent customer service – following up on after sales service and follow the repair process from start to finish. They must work to ensure customer satisfaction. Sales Associate must follow all implemented Maison policies and procedures involving security, consignments, after sales services, and valuation requests. CJ Charles Jewelers Sales Associates are asked to share the quality standards and collection information with their clients and assist in maintaining the aesthetic quality of the Boutique.
A Sales Associate is required to have a strong understanding of Customer Services needs and customer priorities, excellent computer skills and strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. A Sales Associate needs to have the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and gain their trust and respect – excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must. At this time, we are not sponsoring work visas. Applicants must have valid work authorization for employment is the USA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Achievement:
• Consistently achieve and/or exceed the monthly sales targets.
• Ensure that each client receives outstanding and exceptional customer service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of Customer Service before, during and after sales client
• Adapt approach according to the client needs and motivations • Negotiate and handle objections with ease
• Assist and support after sales service.
• Remain current on industry news and competitors
Client Relationship Management:
• Cultivate new and existing client relationships through exceptional service, partnering with Management to develop a plan for their clients and prospects
• Consistently and accurately capture client data for follow-up and relationship building effectively
• Appropriately resolve client issues/concerns and escalate as needed to Management
• Client networking events
Daily Operations:
• Understand and comply with all security and operational policies and procedures of CJ Charles Jewelers
• Assist with daily set-up and breakdown of the boutique
• Assist in the merchandising and daily maintenance of displays and back-stock
• Actively participate in inventories
• Assist with special projects (i.e. price changes, supporting back office responsibilities, shipping/receiving, inventory, etc.)
KEY SKILLS Education:
• College degree preferred
• GIA courses
Required Experience:
• 2 to 5 years of previous experience in luxury retail, service or hospitality environment
• General knowledge of jewelry & watches
Technical Skills:
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail store environment
• Computer and internet Savvy
• MS Office experience required
Personal Skills/Abilities:
• Additional language skills are a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required
• Strong understanding of Customer Service needs
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision
