    Job Description

    Summary

    Designs, plans, organizes, delivers, conducts, and records training and educational programs for team members through a variety of instructional techniques to help team members learn, maintain, and/or improve job skills. This includes creation of training aids, demonstrations, and written instruction for production and warehouse functions, and for salaried team members. Routinely maintains team member training records within the appropriate learning management system. Responsible for effective record keeping and OSHA documentation compliance. Applies working knowledge and experience to functional assignments. Uses prescribed guidelines or polices to analyze and resolve problems.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Enhances department capabilities by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests while exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
    • Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with team members.
    • Assists in the establishment of a safety minded culture of continuous safety awareness, compliance, and visibility.
    • Assist maintenance team on advanced troubleshooting and making repairs.
    • Train team members of the following task: install, align, dismantle equipment; troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic and electric systems, conduct general CNC maintenance task; reading blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
    • Designs and creates training manuals, online learning modules, and course materials.
    • Creates tracks of training and training matrices detailing course requirements based on position and ensures training completed in a timely manner.
    • Constructs and maintains training content, training curricula, and procedures in compliance with McWane and M&H Valve policies and procedures.
    • Monitors the progress of new team members or newly transferred team members.
    • Performs all administrative duties associated with conducting training. This includes, conducting all pre-training prep work, administering learning schedules and calendars, maintaining participant records (e.g., test scores, evaluations and attendance)
    • Trains in accordance with state and federal requirements and corporate guidelines preserves data in accordance with McWane’s Record Retention Policy.
    • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
    • Maintains current knowledge of company policies and procedures.
    • Interprets and explains policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
    • Completes special projects by clarifying project objective, setting timelines and schedules, conducting research, developing and organizing information, and fulfilling transactions.
    • Works collaboratively in a team environment and with a spirit of cooperation.
    • Advises Group Machine Manager of situations related to employee relations issues.
    • Exhibits a commitment to continuous learning. This includes, pursuing development activities and opportunities to obtain additional expertise and strengthen core skills, building and improving job-related knowledge and leadership skills; seeking feedback from others and maintaining focus to continue the learning cycle.
    • Proactively promotes The McWane Way principles.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree: or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
    • Three years’ experience in education, or training and development required.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    Supporting primary supervisor with daily shop operations.

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Computer Skills

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and learning management system operations.
