Job Description
SUMMARY
Uses data analysis skills to organize, develop and disseminate production schedules and priorities to facility supervisors and managers. Collaboratively works with supervisors, managers, and departments to ensure delivery of quality products with superior service levels. Plans daily production schedules.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
DEPARTMENT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or sales orders, to determine materials requirements or material priorities.
Assists department supervisors in developing production schedules.
Responsible for ensuring production packets are planned, started, and printed with drawings to the required department.
Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, sales, production, or engineering.
Suggests changes in work conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
Maintain established stocking plan requirements on finished and rough parts for assigned product line.
Works with supervisors and managers to identify opportunities for increased production and record the production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, or quality control measures.
Reviews, distributes, and monitors open production work orders; work with supervisors to maintain their accuracy.
Work with supervisors and inventory team members to complete cycle counts, inventory adjustments, or inventory transfers to ensure inventory accuracy.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 5 years of related work experience (planning/scheduling) or High School Diploma (or equivalent) required with a minimum 10 years of related work experience (planning/scheduling).
Sound decision making and strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate others to accomplish goals.
Strong work ethic, integrity, and flexibility.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Microsoft Office Applications (Excel/Outlook) experience required.
Microsoft D365 or other ERP/MRP Software experience a plus.
ASCM certification/working knowledge of ASCM principles a plus.
