OVERVIEW
Wilshire is currently seeking a strategic, people-loving, motivated and customer service-oriented human resources professional. This exciting role joins Wilshire’s HR team in our US headquarters located in Santa Monica, CA. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Human Resources, the successful candidate will work closely with leadership and employees as well as provide global knowledge across multiple HR disciplines.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Supervision of all HR activities and HR staff, including reviewing communications, reports, requests and documents
- Familiarity with a fast growing, global company and the impacts affecting employees
- Support onboarding framework for new hires to ensure productivity and strong employee experience, help lead the onboarding process for key hires
- Provide guidance on the creation of job descriptions and job analysis and market compensation requests
- Ensure benefits offerings are competitive and align with our strategy
- Able to help lead and support change management initiatives as well as acquisition integration as needed
- Partner with the SVP, HR to build plans, projects, training, etc., to support development opportunities
- Diversity & Inclusion– help lead and support programs that involve and engage our employees and champion the initiatives
- Help oversee employee relations issues/concerns and conduct investigations as necessary to resolve according to law, company policy and precedent, and escalate to the SVP, HR when appropriate
- Work with leadership in performance related discussions and plans
- Attend meetings as needed to understand the business, the people and to stay abreast of changes on projects, teams, and the effect on the business and our people
- Assist with the administration of workers’ compensation, FMLA and other LOA’s
- Travel to locations may be required as needed to support business needs
- This role may eventually oversee the office management/administration team
WHAT YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 6 years' experience as an HR Generalist
- Able to exceed and deliver results in a complex global fast pace organization
- A skillful and collaborative team player who can effectively network effectively across the business
- Ability to anticipate/solve problems with a sense of urgency; manage changing/multiple priorities
- Expertise in navigating within ambiguous situations, with high levels of autonomy
- Able to deal with continual change and desire to make a difference is paramount
- Experience with growth and departmental transformation required
- Excellent project management skills
- Current, in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to labor laws, employee relations, compensation, benefits administration, and general employment issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- BS/BA with emphasis in HR preferred
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM certification desired
