Cambridge International Systems has an immediate career opportunity for a SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR to support Military Sealift Command (MSC) IT Engineering Team in Norfolk, VA. This individual will work under minimal direction providing system administration and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) to support emerging requirements and enhance and develop IT capabilities. The chosen individual must have an active SECRET clearance and will be responsible for:
- Providing support in the development, integration, deployment and sustainment of new systems, software and capabilities.
- Conducting requirements analysis and verification
- Analyzing and recommending technical solutions for complex systems and networks
- Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining equipment, operating systems and related software
- Monitoring and maintaining the inventory of assets
- Developing and/or review technical documentation
Required Skills
- Ability to perform ACAS Scans and STIGs and STIGing baseline images
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Able to recommend solutions to moderate technical problems
- Ability to work both independently and on a team
- SCAP Scans
- Creating and Maintaining Images
- Vulnerability Remediation
- SOPs
- Participating in Technical Reviews and Systems Lifecycle Development
- Somewhat able to lead and mentor as part of a team
- Ability to travel up to 10%
Required Experience
- B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Management Systems or a related discipline highly preferred, or 8+ years of experience in a related field.
- DOD 8570 IAT Level II compliant (Completed Security+ CE Certification)
- Some experience with Requirements Analysis, Requirements, Functional Analysis & Allocation, Design Synthesis, Developmental Testing, and Operational Testing.
- MCSA/MCSE certification or Network Certification preferred
- Experienced with frequent use and application of technical standards, principles and theories.
- Working under general supervision, providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
