    JOB SUMMARY:

The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is a non-profit, bipartisan public policy organization established in 1962 to provide strategic insights and practical policy solutions to decision makers concerned with global security and prosperity. Over the years, it has grown to be one of the largest organizations of its kind, with a staff of some 200 employees, including more than 120 analysts working to address the changing dynamics of international security across the globe.

CSIS seeks an intern to support the new Renewing American Innovation Project. The RAI Project focuses on the architecture of renewal both proposed and underway to restore the United States’ postwar status as the world’s foremost center of innovation and advancement in science and technology. RAI brings together leaders in academia, industry, and government with events organized around public-private partnerships and concrete policy actions the United States can take – such as modernizing outdated patent and intellectual property laws, boosting competitiveness through standards-setting, and even reforming the immigration system. Given the vast advances in telecommunications, quantum computing, and the medical sciences made globally in the last decade alone, the United States cannot afford to cede its long-standing primacy in science and technology.
