The Manager, Analytic Strategy will perform and oversee day-to-day analytic operations of the analytics team that supports systemwide quality improvement, including program evaluation and a variety of other contracts. The primary focus is to lead a team of analysts in establishing an analytic strategy as well as performing advanced analytics, data visualizations, program evaluation, and more. The Manager, Analytic Strategy may also be responsible for designing and executing analytic approaches in quality improvement business development proposals and newly funded work, including defining the analytics needed to successfully execute existing and new contracts and solving critical data problems. The Manager, Analytic Strategy will work closely with external partners and funders as well as leaders in multiple teams within Comagine Health to ensure analytic excellence across contracts.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING FOR US:
- Conducts a variety of personnel management activities, including but not limited to recruitment, selection, on-boarding, training, evaluation, and separation, according to Comagine Health policy and practice and in collaboration with leadership and Human Resources.
- Delivers, or ensures delivery, of initial orientation and training (including review of direct reports’ job descriptions), plus on-going training.
- Ensures availability of procedures, technology, and other resources necessary to conduct work activities; provides subject matter expertise as applicable.
- Provides timely, continuous recognition and feedback using objective, job-related data, and observations (including documented performance appraisals); timely initiates performance improvement opportunities in alignment with Comagine Health policy and practice.
- Develops and monitors professional development goals and objectives; assigns work and delegates authority appropriate for established, job-related duties, responsibilities, and qualifications.
- Develops, maintains, and enforces individual- and team-level performance expectations for deliverables; applies Comagine Health’s general standards of conduct.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Multistate Analytic Leadership Team (MALT) to develop and sustain a vision and roadmap for the Analytic Strategy team.
- Allocate staff to tasks and projects based on project need, staff skills and regional considerations, and ensure that employees have the resources and opportunities needed in order to perform their assigned duties at a high level of effectiveness.
- Performs advanced analytics in assigned functional area, as needed.
- Contribute to or lead business development proposal writing, including crafting of proposed analytic strategy for proposals.
- Serve as a content expert in data collection, governance, analysis, and visualization and reporting; assists with growing this expertise internally.
- Provide input on strategic direction and reports to the Board of Directors upon request.
- Provide regular updates and assessments of workload and priorities for project management.
- Direct and/or prepare written or oral reports for organizational leadership, committees, board members and project leaders.
- Serve in a leadership and strategic capacity related to business development activities; applies for funding opportunities relevant to areas of content expertise.
- Adhere to all internal quality control processes for programming, visualization and reporting to maintain data integrity.
- In collaboration with MALT, develop guidelines, technical manuals, training materials, publications, presentations, reports and data visualizations reflecting advanced knowledge in assigned functional area.
- Oversee data governance which includes collection, storage, maintenance, encryption, analysis, report development and distribution to various audiences.
- Provide consultation internally on advanced methods in statistical methodology, study design, and data analyses.
Required Skills

- Proficiency in presenting complex information in a clear and compelling format
- Knowledge of statistics or biostatistics and the appropriate application of analytic methods
- Expertise in manipulating and analyzing large datasets, including knowledge and experience with relational databases
- Advanced knowledge of the appropriate visual display of data, including competency in Tableau/Power BI or comparable applications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in programming (SAS, SQL, R, Python or other languages)

Required Experience
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- 10 years of healthcare-related data analysis, research, and/or other relevant work experience
- MA/MS in a related field; equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in related field may be substituted
Preferred
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
