ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a Commodity and Sustainability Analyst (Pricing Specialist) to join our Pricing Department! In this role you will support the Mantis sales team by compiling and analyzing retail electricity & natural gas supply rates from our network of national energy suppliers. In addition to electric and gas, you will also be working in the sustainable and renewable energy field. The analyst will assist Mantis commercial, industrial, and governmental clients in navigating complex, competitive energy supply markets; in purchasing energy at the best available rates; and in securing favorable contract language and terms in line with the client’s risk tolerance. Analyst will also work cross functionally with other departments to support the collaborative sales process between Mantis Divisions that include various other products.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Send out formal RPS to applicable suppliers based on the client’s usage patterns and market area.
• Coordinate, collect, and analyze quotes from various retail energy suppliers to prepare Pricing presentations for our internal Sales department and clients.
• Handle complex pricing requests that require market research, supplier pricing parameters and market intel to provide the most beneficial product for our clients that vary in size, commodity, and product request.
• Main point of contact between our Internal Sales department and Retail Energy Suppliers to manage the pricing process for our clients.
• Coordinate communication and requests with our sales team and our network of suppliers to determine the provisions and ideal pricing products for our customers.
• Generate and reviewing electric and gas contracts for accuracy of information.
• Negotiate contract prices, margins and adding any agreement add-ons that are favorable and requested by our customers.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• BA or BS in a related field or equivalent experience (i.e. Economics, Mathematics, Finance, etc.)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-3 years of retail energy or oil & gas industry experience 
• Intermediate Excel proficiency

SKILLS FOR THE JOB: 

• Analytical: Strong analytical skills identifying market trends and data.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication internal and external with multiple departments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Detail-oriented: Ability to pay close attention to detail, accurate in product delivery. Processing, understanding, and reviewing large amounts of data in a timely manner.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
