    Who We Are Mattress Factory is a contemporary art museum on the Northside of Pittsburgh, founded in 1977. We feature site-specific installations created by artists in residence from around the world.

    *This is a hybrid position with a requirement of a minimum one day in the office. *Cover letter, along with resume is required. *Deadline to submit application is Monday, August 12 at 5pm.

    Preferred Requirements

    Passionate about art and artists, and excited to share that passion with others through various forms of interpersonal communication.

    Interested in gaining experience in a non-profit arts setting, specifically in fundraising, special events, museum membership and community engagement.

    Strong writing skills and attention to detail.

    Eager to contribute new ideas and improve systems.

    Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in a related field

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with CRM systems or other databases is a plus.

    Your Role

    Conduct donor and member correspondence via post-visit touch-base emails, calls, etc.

    Assist with event and program planning and execution as needed, including membership events, exhibition openings and the museum’s Garden Party fundraiser.

    Collaborate with various museum departments to design and execute strategic communications and solicitations for membership and fundraising campaigns; especially assisting in Giving Tuesday strategy, preparations, and communications.

    Aid in data cultivation, maintenance, and reporting for various fundraising-related projects.

    Research member and donor cultivation opportunities and prospects.

    Perform other miscellaneous administrative duties as required.
