ROBERT BOSCH, LLC - DATA ENGINEER

SUMMARY:

EXPAND YOUR PROFESSIONAL PORTFOLIO AS A DATA ENGINEER WITH MAU AT ROBERT BOSCH, LLC IN CHARLESTON, SC. As a DATA ENGINEER, you will be responsible for providing data to end users by creating and maintaining data pipelines allowing them to do data analytics and data mining. This includes working with data warehouses, data lakes and cloud base environments. THIS IS A DIRECT-HIRE OPPORTUNITY.

REQUIREMENTS:

BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field Ability to manipulate, process and extract value from large, disconnected datasets Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable ‘big data’ data stores Working knowledge of:

• cloud environment Azure and Databricks
• streaming tools: InfluxDB, Grafana, etc.
• big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
• PySpark or Scala, and Python
• relational SQL databases: Oracle, etc.

Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures, and data sets Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement Highly analytical with great attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
• Program and build infrastructure required for extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using Python, SQL, message brokers and/or MS Azure big data technologies
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet business requirements
• Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into manufacturing process improvements, operational efficiency and other key performance metrics
• Work with manufacturing engineers to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
• Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements
• Build processes supporting data transformation and data structures
