    Compensation: Non-exempt; Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour based on experience. Exciting sign-on bonus offered; $1500 on hire, $1500 after one year.

    MCI seeks a Building Automation System (BAS) C ontrols ServiceTechnician to install, program, and service, digital control systems while maintaining quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction. The position is located in Raleigh NC and reports to the SIG Controls Manager within the Raleigh office team.

    Essential Job Duties

    Service and maintain customer sites.

    • Provide technical support to customers.
    • Identify, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systems at the customer's location.
    • Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, and replacement modifications as needed or requested by customers.
    • Determine parts to order for repairs.
    • Complete work orders and review with customers for accuracy.
    • Provide technical assistance and mentorship to HVAC technicians on controls issues.
    • Provide sales leads to team members and/or appropriate sales team members.

    BAS project installation and verification.

    • Commission controls installation and verifies that control sequences meet specifications.

    • Document installations for “as-built” control drawings.

    • Represent the company by serving as direct customer contact.

    • Implement control sequences, programs, and graphics for new installations.

    • Implement databases, programs, and graphics for new construction and retrofit projects.

    • Confirm implementation meets project specifications.

    Minimum Requirements

    Academic Credentials, Certifications, Licenses:

    • 5 years of experience in BAS control systems.
    • BS Degree in engineering technology, or Diploma or certificate from a two-year community college, or technical school preferred.
    • Educational background in electronics, computer programming, or mechanical technology.
    • Valid driver's license.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Programs; including One Note, Excel, & Visio.

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    • Knowledge of HVAC equipment and systems.
    • Preference is given to individuals with Distech Controls experience.
    • Tridium N4 and AX programming.
    • Application Specific Controls and programming controller experience in at least one OEM product line.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Customer-focused, results-oriented professional, and strong team player.
    • Self-starter that demonstrates initiative.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized.
