RedHoek+ is looking for an MEP Superintendent. They will be responsible for coordinating all the field operations of Subcontractors in order to deliver on schedule and on budget new building mixed use construction projects. Projects are located throughout the tri-state area.
Projects are located throughout the tri-state area with a primary focus in Manhattan.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Review and interpret plans and specifications, with an ability to comprehend complete building systems
- Assist project team from design development through project completion
- Provide input regarding project schedules/reporting/budgets
- Solution oriented person who can manage and direct on site subcontractors
- Run project foreman’s meetings
- Assist with all aspects related to safety on the jobsite, including performing regular inspections
- Lead MEP BIM coordination meetings with trades
- Process documentation from coordination meetings
- Manage all requirements with various governmental jurisdictions such as NYC DOB, FDNY, DEP, Dept of Health etc. and ensure project is completed in accordance with local codes
- Manage work associated with utilities, including coordination with Con Ed, Verizon, Comcast, etc.
- Assist project team in change order documentation.
- Provide training to operations staff upon completion of project
- Coordinate all third-party inspections
- Maintain daily jobsite documentation and walk building on regular basis to maintain quality control and safety compliance
- Review, understand and implement scope sheets
- Provide technical and operational direction to subcontractors
- Communicate with PM on daily basis and understand when situations require documentation
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years’ experience in ‘ground-up’ new construction buildings in NYC ranging from 10-20 stories
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture or Construction Management preferred
- Experience with various construction-based computer software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office etc.
- Self-motivated with strong leadership and communication skills
- NYC Super’s license and all associated OSHA trainings
- Ability to react to field conditions and treat them as opportunities to solve the issue
- Experience with BIM / Navisworks / REVIT / CAD or equivalent
