REQUIRED SKILLS:
Perform all Quality Inspector responsibilities consistently, competently, and accurately including:
Read and decipher technical drawings
Understand the function and be able to use manual hand measurement devices
Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced
Sort, certify, and verify suspect material with an acceptable degree of accuracy
Accept or reject finished items
Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications
Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products
Report inspection and test data
Perform moderate tasks within Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.)
Understand and use various electronic databases
Utilize multiple measurement methods for verification
Load and operate the Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM)
Understand simple Statistical Analysis methodology
Perform some statistical analysis in Microsoft Excel, or other software packages, when necessary
Advise and direct the production group regarding part dimensions
Provide technical input to pre-launch activities including, but not limited to:
Potential Failure Mode Effects and Analysis (PFMEA)
Control Plans
Inspection Criteria
Provide input to the Continual Improvement system
Use manufacturing principles to influence the processes in a positive manner
Contribute to the Best Practices and Lessons Learned systems
Provide inputs to the Management Review process
Any other tasks assigned and defined by the Quality Manager
