Our client, a renowned cannabis cultivator committed to producing premium cannabis products, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented METRC Specialist to join their team in Los Angeles.     **This is an in person role in Los Angeles, CA

    As a METRC Specialist, you will be the go-to expert for training and guiding their cultivation staff on how to effectively use the METRC (Marijuana Enforcement Tracking Reporting Compliance) system to track and manage cannabis-related activities. This role is crucial for ensuring the team adheres to state and local regulations, contributing to the company’s reputation for excellence and compliance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • METRC Training: Lead in-depth training sessions for the cultivation team, teaching them how to navigate and utilize the METRC system with confidence.
    • Compliance Leadership: Serve as the expert on state and local cannabis regulations, ensuring that cultivation processes meet all legal requirements.
    • Data Management: Instruct team members on accurate data entry, inventory tracking, plant lifecycle management, and waste disposal, emphasizing attention to detail.
    • Reporting & Analysis: Train the team on generating regulatory reports and ensure all required data is reported accurately to regulatory bodies.
    • Troubleshooting & Support: Address any METRC-related challenges and offer ongoing support as the team integrates METRC practices into their daily routines.
    • SOP Development: Assist in creating clear and concise standard operating procedures (SOPs) for METRC compliance, ensuring staff has easy access to best practices.
    • Inventory Oversight: Manage and oversee inventory processes, ensuring compliance with state regulations and accuracy from cultivation to distribution.

      Qualifications:

      • Proven expertise in the METRC system and a deep understanding of cannabis compliance and regulatory requirements.
      • Excellent communication and teaching skills with the ability to effectively train and guide diverse team members.
      • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and compliance.
      • Up-to-date knowledge of state and local cannabis regulations.
      • Previous experience in training or consulting within the cannabis industry is a plus.

      Compensation: $47,000-53,000 base salary
