    Job Description

    Medical Facilities of America is seeking a BILLING COORDINATOR in the Corporate Office located in Roanoke, VA.

     The Billing Coordinator:

    • Provides center staff with Medicare Benefit information on prospective patients and coordinates all claims work for Medicare and Dual Eligible Plans.
    • Serves as a resource for Business Office Managers and Regional Consultants regarding claims status.  Communicates difficult claim situations to Regional Consultant and / or Business Office Manager and helps resolve issues.
    • Corrects suspended claims with information provided by Business Office Manager and resubmits to Medicare.
    • Verifies and keys all necessary adjustments and manual claims to Medicare at the request of Business Office Managers or Regional Consultants.
    • Posts and reconciles Medicare and EFT remittances daily.
    • Analyzes Medicare Part A and Part B aging and Dual Eligible payors to resolve unpaid claims. Tracks claims until paid.
    • Data entry of all facility deposits.
    • Helps Business Office Managers and Regional Consultants resolve daily issues around billing, cash batches and third party billing claim denials, rebills and adjustments.

    The qualified candidate will have knowledge of Medicare regulations and billing and experience with computers and software applications, effective communication and organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.
