    ABOUT THE FIRM:

We provide portfolio, financial and investor accounting & reporting services to investment entities including hedge funds, fund of funds, private equity & venture capital funds, as well as family offices and broker dealers. As a company focused exclusively on serving the needs of the global alternative investment community, we provide the technical expertise and high-touch service that investment managers should expect from their service providers.

    ABOUT THE POSITION:

    This position will report to the Manager of Private Equity. Our fund accounting team is involved with all aspects of the client engagement and are critical to the success of the company. They are deeply involved in the portfolio, financial and investor accounting of the pooled investment vehicles.

    Essential Functions

    • Prepare and maintain the accounting data for approximately 1-10 client engagements
    • Ensure all client deliverables are prepared accurately and with a high level of quality
    • Reconcile all portfolio and cash activity to source data
    • Ensure fund expenses are accrued timely and in accordance with GAAP
    • Prepare/review investor allocations and ensure fee/allocations are booked accurately
    • Prepare periodic Net Asset Value reporting while following the established accounting procedures and controls
    • Draft annual financial statements and coordinate year end audit with client and independent auditors
    • Keep an accurate time log and maintain efficient work standards to ensure profitability of engagements
    • Identify and track inefficiencies caused by client issues, or other matters and communicate challenges faced.
    • Demonstrate integrity and professionalism in all interactions with clients and other members of the firm.
    • Required: The desired candidate will have a Bachelors or Masters degree in accounting and be detail oriented, organized and able to manage various engagements and their deadlines.
    • Preferred: CPA or CPA candidate
    • Preferred: Experience with investment fund auditing or accounting
