    SUMMARY

    Under the supervision of a LMHP, the MHP will be having one or more of the following responsibilities:

    Provision of Community Support services,

    Provision of individual intervention/supportive counseling

    Provision of Parent/Family Intervention

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Interviews recipient to obtain information concerning mental health history or other pertinent information.

    Observes recipient to detect indications of abnormal mental behavior.

    Assists the LMHP in administering therapeutic treatment, such as behavior modification and stress management therapy to assist recipient in controlling disorders and problems.

    Discusses progress toward mental health goals with recipient, such as anger management, stress, depression, social skills, and independent living skills.

    Consults with psychiatrist and/or LMHP concerning treatment plan and amends plan as directed.

    Provides appropriate mental health interventions during psychosocial skills training sessions as needed.

    Refers recipients to supportive services to supplement treatment and counseling.

    Monitors recipient’s behavior in the home, school, and community settings.

    Links recipients and their families with community resources that can be of benefit.

    Provides crisis intervention in collaboration efforts with the LMHP.

    Regulates content of skills training in accordance with recipient’s capabilities, needs, and interests.

    MARGINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Responsibilities may include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Maintains a professional relationship with staff, peers, and upper management.

    Adheres to the policies, procedures, and work rules of SEEDLINKS BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT, LLC.

    Obtain 20 training hours as required for a full time MHP/CPST or 16 hours as required for a part time MHP yearly.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    May supervise Mental Health Specialists (PSR workers).

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Must have a Bachelors or Masters of Arts or Master of Science degree in any Mental Health related field (Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or Counseling) but under supervision and in route of licensure by the LPC Board of Examiners.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, recipients, customers, and the public.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    Maintain CPR, First Aid, and CPI certification.

    Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle that is legally insured to be used for off-site clinical services consultation or case management.
