Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Day Porter to join our team. The Day Porter will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, and general upkeep of facilities throughout the day. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming and clean environment for employees, customers, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to perform various janitorial and maintenance duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain assigned areas including restrooms, hallways, lobbies, and office spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust common areas regularly.
• Restock supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels in restrooms and common areas.
• Empty trash cans and recycling bins throughout the building.
• Respond to immediate cleaning requests such as spills or messes.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or replacing air filters.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the building management team.
• Ensure that all public areas are safe and presentable at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service to all visitors and employees.
• Assist in setting up meeting rooms and other spaces for events or activities.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, chemicals, and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and dependable with a positive attitude.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a variety of environments (indoors/outdoors).

Working Conditions:

• Regular hours of operation: 12:00pm to 04:00 pm
