    Job Description

    This is definitely NOT a traditional Operations Associate role. We are looking for an Operations Associate to be an integral part of a high performing team. This person should have experience with some or all of the following: investment operations, financial reporting, general business operations, trade processing and support, and general banking knowledge. One of the key advantages of the role compared to a traditional Operations role is that you will be developed as a “generalist” who can understand the end-to-end processes, as opposed to being a specialist in a particular product or process.

    We are looking to recruit someone who is passionate about their work, who is energetic and will take ownership of work product and ensure it is timely and accurate. The candidate will be able to work in a time sensitive environment and balance competing priorities.

    The Operations Associate should have strong communication skills and ability to juggle several high priority tasks simultaneously demonstrating solid time management skills. They should embrace a challenging, complex and deadline driven role by staying organized and finding solutions.

    The Operations Associate will be a key member of a high performing operations team critical to ensuring the needs of the Investment and Family Relations functions are met.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide integral support to the investment and operations team on a day-to-day basis
    • Support the investment and operations team with all ad hoc, time-sensitive requests and projects
    • Independently manage and execute on a variety of operations and process objectives
    • Display professional communication skills with responses to counterparties, tax/legal advisors, and team members by phone, email, and written communications
    • Coordinate with our custodians and internal team members to follow up on and execute operational items in a timely manner
    • Monitor and resolve daily time-sensitive activities
    • Initiate, monitor and track asset transfers, re-registrations, private placements and other security related items
    • Share responsibility for account and portfolio maintenance and reporting including, trade entry, daily workflows, securities pricing, transaction review and classification, and management of private security database
    • Middle office workflows for trade clearing and settlement
    • Support onboarding process for new accounts or relationships

    EDUCATION

    Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or equivalent preferred.
