    Description

    We are seeking an INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST for our center to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. This is a startup practice, so you will have the opportunity for direct patient interaction, as well as seeing follow-up – unlike hospital positions. IR provides technologists with a wide array of endovascular and percutaneous procedures, treating multiple conditions in a variety of organ systems.

    MIVA Medical is a single physician practice in a 100% outpatient endovascular and percutaneous interventional radiology office-based lab (OBL). It is a startup company looking for experienced, well-rounded team players who are excited to build a new service line south of Kansas City. Conditions treated include liver cancer, peripheral artery disease, uterine fibroids, spinal compression fractures, and venous disease.

    Here is some of what you can expect from being an Interventional Radiology Technologist with us:

    • You will assume responsibility for the routine care and maintenance of radiological equipment, in addition, assumes responsibility for quality patient care, maintenance of required competencies and assistance in all aspects of invasive procedures
    • Your role will be able to explain all procedures to patients to help alleviate anxiety.
    • Your role will have the ability to handle emergency situations during high-risk procedures and you must be willing to provide discretion and confidentiality in word and action.
    • You will have the ability to interact with physicians during routine procedures and to assist with interpretation of and recording of data collected.
    • You will have the ability to work within a team environment with individuals having similar abilities and responsibilities
    • You will be in charge of procedural inventory – including, but not limited to, maintaining pars, ordering, and invoice processing

    Needed Qualifications:

    • Graduate from an accredited school of radiology or cardiovascular technology or equivalently accredited allied health program or, Certified or registered in radiology technology or cardiovascular technology (RCIS), and Documentation of 2 years of IR or cardiac catheterization laboratory work experience.
    • Must demonstrate knowledge and competence in basic endovascular technology
    • Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Guidelines.
