Description: About This Role As an HVAC Mini Split and central system Installer, it is your job to make sure the installation is done properly, safely, and to the high standards all while providing excellent customer service. What You’ll Do
70% of the work this person will do will be cool and heat mini splits and central units and 30% will be work at shop.
Install heating, ventilation, and cooling units for residential and commercial customers
Maintain proper inventory, parts, tools, and knowledge in using appropriate safety equipment in the vehicle
Mentor and train apprentices on the job and provide them with learning opportunities
Diagnose service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations
Excellent customer service abilities in dealing with customers to resolve technical, logistical, and scheduling issues
Perform quality work with honesty and diligence and follow company procedures and values
Job sites often include world class homes
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Must consider safety one’s primary job and must have general knowledge of safe working practices and OSHA requirements.
To adequately perform the duties of this job the team member is regularly and routinely required to sit; stand, walk, stoop, use hands to handle controls; hear, and talk while in indoors or outside.
Must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces.
The ability to regularly lift and/or move 50+ lbs is required.
The work environment can vary depending on the season and scope of work – employees are required to work outdoors throughout the seasons.
This role is expected to work Monday through Friday from 7:30am-5pm, with some Saturdays.
When not in the field, this role will have additional job requirements back at the shop.
Willing to take a drug test and background check before starting the job.
The pay for this position will depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location, plus performance based incentives.
We’d Love To Hear From You If You Have
You have 2-5+ years of mini split and central system installation experience and are looking for an opportunity to grow and be better supported
You have an EPA license, a NATE certification is a plus
You like to get the job done right the first time
A strong communicator and a natural at explaining basic maintenance suggestions to customers
Active Driver’s License and the ability to pass a background check
Tech Savvy - The ability to use tablets and learn work related software with ease
Verifiable experience to develop quotations for installations of replacement equipment
Demonstrable analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans and manuals
Proven ability in installing, replacing, and serving HVAC systems in new residential and commercial properties
Willingness to work some weekends (Saturdays) or on-call shifts when needed
