    Job Description

    MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for a dynamic VP, Sponsorship Consulting leader to work with our roster of Fortune 500 clients. You will advise 2-3 clients on best-in-class partnership strategy, activation, rightsholder management, and measurement.

    Interested in managing strategic, integrated brand marketing and activation campaigns with leadership companies? You will work with clients to understand their goals and partner with teammates to develop sports and entertainment programs, manage strategic, integrated brand marketing and activation campaigns. Successful employees will approach unexpected challenges quickly and creatively. You will report into the VP, Group Director or Senior Vice President and lead a skilled team of marketers.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead a team, inspire the best work and cultivate careers for rising stars
    • Understand the sponsorship industry and experience working on high-profile sponsorship programs involving properties such as the NFL, NASCAR, NBA, MLS, PGA TOUR, NHL, USOC, and MLB (not including sales, operations, or athlete management experience), and high-profile Entertainment properties
    • Knowledge of and experience with the full marketing mix, social media, content marketing, influencer approaches, and marketing promotions
    • Develop client solutions and be able to present to the most senior levels and client organizations
    • Establish high-level relationships with client leaders and grow revenue through astute knowledge of cross-selling organizational capabilities
    • Collaborate with sanctioning bodies and rightsholders to help develop outstanding marketing partnerships
    • Write and develop important documents including POV documents to client-ready status
    • Negotiate with local, national, and global rightsholders on behalf of clients, securing win-win agreements that surpass client expectations
    • Contribute to new business activities including ideation, presentation writing and presentation delivery
    • Frequent travel is required
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • 10+ years experience directly working on high profile sponsorship programs.
    • 8+ years leading a team and contributing to internal activities (team building, events, off-sites)
    • BA/BS in Marketing related field
