    Materials Planning & Logistics (MP&L) Manager

    The MP&L Manager ensures efficient product planning and delivery while serving as the main contact for customer logistics needs. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute to process improvements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with Production Manager to develop production schedules and forecasts.
    • Work with Engineering on product launches, BOM management, and engineering changes.
    • Support customer satisfaction initiatives alongside the Quality team.
    • Oversee inventory accuracy and resolve control issues with Accounting.
    • Lead MP&L team in warehousing, purchasing, and production planning.
    • Manage vendor releases and purchasing functions.
    • Track inventory adjustments and oversee cycle counting.
    • Establish department procedures and approve expenses.
    • Maintain and report key performance metrics.
    • Conduct performance evaluations for team members.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.
    • Minimum of five years of MP&L experience.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage urgent logistics challenges.
    • Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes (EDI, PPAP, BOM).
    • Experience with MRP and scheduling systems (SAP preferred).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

    Preferred Experience:

    • Leadership experience in logistics or supply chain management.
    • Strong inventory control experience.
