    Job Description

    • Verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Compares identifying and counts, weights, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
    • Using the ERP software D365 will efficiently manage billing, PO requisitions and reporting.
    • Must be able to professionally communicate with management, team members, customers and vendors via email, telephone and in person.
    • Determines method of shipments, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
    • Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons, using stenciling equipment.
    • Inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
    • Takes Weights and Dimensions as required.
    • Stamps, stencils, or glues identify information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
    • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
    • May operate tier-lift truck or use hand-truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping platform to trucks, flatbeds, containers.
    • Mentor and guide new employees.
    • Supporting Shipping & Receiving when needed.
    • Nails covers on wooden crates and binds container with metal tape, using strapping machine.
    • Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers
    • Performs cycle counts when necessary
    • Able to work with a team
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Being able to perform repetitive tasks
    • Knowledge in supply chain management
    • Being flexible to work overtime and on weekends when needed
    • Able to lift up to 50lbs
    • Organization skills
    • Microsoft Office and knowledgeable in Excel
    • Regular full-time attendance is an essential function of the job.

    Education

    Candidates need to have a High School Diploma or equivalent education level as a minimum requirement.

    Mathematics, use of fractions and decimals. Computer knowledge using Microsoft Office and shipping ERP program D365. Data entry, develop and maintain reports and metrics. Work experience with computers, business equipment or other electronics.

    Some previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.

    Pay Range: $20.00/hour - $22.61/hour
