    JOB FUNCTION:

    This position will work under the direction of the Corporate Maintenance Manager and Lead Men in various planning activities focused on improving the overall operating efficiency of the Fleet Maintenance function. A key priroity of the position includes the identification and provisioning of parts and supplies required to accomplish repair and maintenance tasks in a manner that reduces the time that corporate assets are out of service.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Coordinate availability of parts for routine repairs & services – at the point of service.
    2. Maintain current status of parts needed to accomplish repairs with internal and external supply sources.
    3. Ensure complete and accurate charging of materials to assets and business units.
    4. Manage and coordinate the return, and timely processing, of repairable and core parts.
    5. Reducing lead time tied to parts availability for maintenance activities on assets.
    6. Researching and developing parts lists necessary to accomplish repair & maintenance tasks.
    7. Sustain stocking levels of Safety and Shop supplies, Forms, and Tags.
    8. Identifying parts to sustain Computerized Preventive maintenance Programs for planned tasks.
    9. Utilize MRP functionality of PM software to schedule and predict parts and labor needs and availability.
    10. Identification of parts for kitting in support of predictive maintenance/repair tasks.
    11. Identification of obsolete parts due to asset retirements.
    12. Perform other duties as directed.

    Required Skills

    Required Experience

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Trade School degree or formal training in maintenance and repair of diesel or gasoline engines, or repair and diagnostics of mechanical systems desirable.
    2. Must have 5 or more years experience in repair and maintenance of automotive, truck, and heavy industrial equipment.
    3. Must have formalized training or demonstrated experience in the disciplines of planning and control in a manufacturing or customer service oriented environment.
    4. Must have some experience in working with Warehousing and inventory functions in determining parts stocking levels and parts kitting required to support and sustain maintenance activities.
    5. Must demonstrate past responsibilities that included working with Maintenance/Repair operations in a role that required researching of technical manuals, detail drawings, supplier CD’s, etc. necessary to establish parts lists that can be utilized to purchase parts and supplies to accomplish repair tasks.
    6. Working experience with an integrated computer system for Materials Planning and Control required. Specific experience with MP2 and or J.D. Edwards Enterprise system modules for Preventive Maintenance and Inventory Management considered a plus.
    7. Must be a self-starter and work with minimum supervision in a demanding environment.
