  • Responsibilities

    This position is responsible for performing dispatch functions in a manner that will ensure prompt, efficient delivery of MPW services to its customers.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Schedule manpower and equipment for upcoming jobs.

    2. Constantly update and analyze the schedule to reflect daily changes and ensure the resources are being schedule in the most efficient way possible.

    3. Schedule equipment ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.

    4. Notify drivers with their assignments.

    5. Prepare job information packets (directions, work orders, safety documents, etc.)

    6. Update status on equipment and loads.

    7. Answer incoming calls and direct to the appropriate party.

    8. Perform other duties as directed.

    Required Skills


    1. This position handles emergency responses to customer needs and insuring all personnel, equipment and supplies are dispatched quickly.

    2. Solving material, personnel or equipment shortage or surpluses. Requires relocating equipment from other jobs.

    3. Has the authority to make unsupervised decisions consistent with the scope of responsibilities.

    Required Experience


    1. High School Education with specialization in industrial or vocational trades.
    
    2. Advanced knowledge in dispatching in a service industry or from several years in a field position at MPW.
    
    3. Professional oral and written interpersonal communication.
    
    4. 1-2 years of dispatch experience involving trucks preferred.
