1. The Associate Electrical Engineer is responsible for assisting with multiple aspects of an
assigned project.

Required Skills
Safety
• Follow all safety rules, regulations and ensure all personnel abide by safety guidelines.
Design
Will assist on multiple projects to gain industry experience for, but not limited to:
• Electrical Power Distribution Systems (480VAC 3Ph to Low Voltage Control Power)
• Control System Architecture including Safety, Instrumentation, PLC, and network design.
• Control Panel Component Selection and Layout
• Panel and System Fabrication Shop Support
Programming
• Ability to modify standard program logic following MPW’s standard programming practices,
considering safety at all levels in the program.
• Build understanding of Control System Programming with the goal of being able to Program new
systems from scratch based on developed Control Narratives and P&IDs.
Testing and Quality Control
• Will develop and maintain MPW testing procedures and quality control standards for complex
equipment.
• Test equipment following developed schedules and plans, communicate testing status to all
levels within MPW.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. This position handles workforce, equipment, and customer relations in multiple, geographically
dispersed locations.
2. Due to the nature of the business as a 24/7 service company, non-traditional availability may be
required as a regular part of the job.
3. Travel to field services sites, and customer sites as needed. Up to 60 nights travel required.
Required Experience
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Entry Level Position with a minimum Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
2. Familiarity with 24VDC, 120/240-480V power system design.
3. Familiarity with PLC based control systems and programming languages.
4. Familiarity with HMI design software.
5. Basic computer and ethernet networking skills
6. Experience with AutoCAD drafting or other CAD software.
7. Previous co-op/internship in an engineering related role preferred.
8. Familiarity with NEC electrical codes and compliance preferred
