SALES OPERATIONS ANALYST - SAN DIEGO

Reporting to the Director of Sales Operations, the Sales Analyst is responsible for the collection, analysis, and reporting of sales related data in an on-going effort to increase overall sales productivity. The development and tracking of key performance indicators will be critical to enhance the understanding of the business and to improve decision making.

- Collect, analyze, evaluate and report data in order to increase sales productivity. Maintenance of daily, monthly and quarterly sales reports.
- Create both standardized and custom reports, conduct quantitative sales analysis, provide support for sales programs, and assess future needs and ensure data integrity.
- Develop standardized tools, methodologies and business processes aimed at improving operational efficiency
- Collect sales records and trends and evaluate performance measured against sales quotas.
- Analyze and report sales and marketing programs to internal customers
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales reports for field and internal users
- Analyze results and set-up reports containing respective conclusions.
- Generate ad hoc reporting for Sales, Marketing, and executive management.
- Provide customized reporting and recommendations in support of ongoing business decisions and initiatives
- Conduct quantitative analysis including but not limited to ROI, trending identification and assessment of opportunity and risk, forecasting
- Manage regular data clean-up process which includes developing workflow for clean-up of various data elements
- Regular and reliable attendance

Required Skills
- High proficiency using advanced Excel functions for data analysis
- Ability to coordinate and manage simultaneous data analysis requests of varying sizes and scope
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to convey
Required Experience
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related field
- 2-5 years in a related field required
- Life Science Sales or Sales Operations experience a plus (Pharmaceuticals, Medical Device, Laboratory)
- Familiarity with SQL database and CRM systems
- Use of Business Intelligence Tools (BI) such as MicroStrategy, QlikView, Cognos a plus
- Experience with prescription or claims data from IMS or Wolters-Kluwer Health a plus
- Knowledge of basic statistical functions for analysis a plus
