We are seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Technologist to join our dynamic radiology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The MRI Technologist will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. Prepare and position patients for MRI scans, ensuring their comfort and safety. Operate MRI equipment to capture diagnostic images, adjusting settings as necessary to obtain optimal results. Review and evaluate images for quality, making adjustments as needed and collaborating with radiologists for accurate interpretation. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Explain procedures to patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines to maintain a sterile and safe environment. Assist in scheduling and coordinating MRI appointments, ensuring efficient workflow within the department. Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with advancements in MRI technology and techniques. Perform routine maintenance and quality assurance checks on MRI equipment. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care. Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI. State licensure, if required. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist preferred. Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols and procedures. Excellent technical skills in operating MRI equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality imaging services. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently. Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move patients as needed. Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Manual dexterity to operate MRI equipment. Work Environment:
May require working evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts.
