Managed Service Provider (MSP) Sales Representative – Outside Sales

Job Summary:
The Managed Service Provider (MSP) Sales Representative is responsible for driving new business growth by selling IT managed services to small, medium, and large enterprises. This role involves a consultative sales approach, understanding client needs related to IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, and network management, and providing customized MSP solutions that align with their business objectives. The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with a strong background in IT services and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting and Lead Generation:
- Identify and target new business opportunities for managed IT services.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and understand their IT environments, challenges, and needs.
- Build a strong sales pipeline through cold calling, networking, referrals, digital marketing, and attending industry events.
Consultative Selling:
- Meet with potential clients to understand their current IT landscape and pain points.
- Present and demonstrate the benefits of the company’s managed services, including network management, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, disaster recovery, and IT support.
- Develop and deliver tailored sales proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations that address client-specific challenges.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
- Create effective sales strategies and campaigns.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to stay ahead of the market and adapt sales approaches.
- Negotiation and Closing:
- Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and pricing with clients to close new business deals.
- Ensure all sales agreements comply with company policies and legal requirements.
- Work with the implementation team to ensure a smooth transition and onboarding process for new clients.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions in the CRM system.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates for management review.
- Analyze sales performance metrics and adjust strategies to meet or exceed targets.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of managed IT services, including network management, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and IT support.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently and within a team environment.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel to meet clients and attend industry events as required.
