Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tier 2 MSP Technician to join our technical support team. This role is critical in providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting complex IT issues, and contributing to ongoing managed service projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide second-level technical support for client infrastructure and systems
- Diagnose and resolve complex network, server, and application-related issues
- Collaborate with Tier 1 technicians to escalate and resolve advanced technical problems
- Participate in and contribute to MSP project implementations
- Document technical solutions, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations
- Assist in developing and maintaining internal knowledge bases
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring technical issues
- Support and mentor junior team members
- Contribute to team knowledge sharing sessions and continuous learning initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in managed service provider (MSP) environment
- Proven experience with project-based technical implementations
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Professional certifications preferred (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft MCSA, Cisco CCNA)
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux server administration
- Experience with network infrastructure management
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS)
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
- Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python)
- Remote monitoring and management (RMM) tool experience
Work Arrangement
- Initial work arrangement: Daily in-office presence
- After 6 months: Eligible for one work-from-home day per week
