J.M. Canty Inc, is a multi-national world-renowned Process Engineering manufacturing company in Lockport, NY and Dublin Ireland established in 1977. We specialize in the manufacture of vision-based process control systems, particle sizing systems and process lighting, sight glasses for a variety of industries including Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Glass, Food and Mining Industries.

We are looking for a motivated candidate to learn and operate our manual and automated glass finishing machines. J.M. Canty, Inc. will train the individual on how to run the machine and inspect the parts. The position is ideal for someone who likes to move around and work with their hands as well as take ownership and pride in their work and likes to work independently. This person will join our core group of established employees and have the ability to grow with our company.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Include but are not limited to:

Polish parts on manual lathe (will train on how to use lathe and polish parts)

Load parts into machine for grinding and polishing

Follow written procedures for times and machine settings

First piece inspections for quality

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Assist in other departments when required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience in a manufacturing setting preferred

Excellent problem-solving and prioritizing skills with a keen attention to detail

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Good attendance and responsible person
